Prior to founding ThinkNext Design, David was Vice President & Chief Design Officer at Lenovo. He led over 100 designers across four countries shaping the company's brand through purposeful design. Previously, he spent nearly 20 years at IBM leading key design initiatives across the company.

David is highly regarded for his decades of ThinkPad design leadership. He developed the influential “design evolution” model shaping the now iconic ThinkPad. Since 1992 over 200,000,000 ThinkPads have been sold worldwide.

David has garnered over 200 international design awards and his work has been featured in articles, books and major museum exhibitions. He currently holds over 60 issued design and utility patents.
